Little to Easter Egg blue to me but pretty cool. Could be just the pic but looks to be much lighter than Grabber Blue.

Not feeling it, that car definitely needs a paint job.

My question is what does Richard Petty have to do with Ford racing history? He was known for Plymouth and Pontiac right?

Anyway it looks like Brian Johnson from AC/DC bought one.

I think Petty drove Fords in 69, and today Petty uses Fords

The end of the '68 season saw Richard finish third in NASCAR points. David Pearson took the Championship, his second. Pearson was not in a Dodge however, having left to go drive in the winning Fords.

On November 25, 1968, Richard Petty made a fateful announcement. He was not going to be driving Plymouths in 1969. He had accepted a deal with Ford to race their Torino. Chrysler fans were despondent, but Plymouth fans were prostrate in agony on the floor! The move caused regular Ford teams to wonder if they shared much of what they learned with the Pettys, would the Petty clan add their own formula and not share it with Ford? Then would they go on to perform their winning magic? Much grumbling resulted from the Petty decision to drive in the Ford camp, from other Ford teams.

Our local Ford dealer has been sitting on one for about a year. IIRC the MSRP was ridiculous, like $87K?

Same here, besides the fact when I think Richard Petty, I DON'T think Mustang.....or really even Ford for that matter.

My brother sent this picture from a local dealership he knows, this was one of two RPMs they ordered, one got sold but this one has sat the whole time, mainly because they wonít budge from the $89,000 price tag. He said itís starting to look sad and the lug nuts are even starting to rust. Good luck with that...

                      Wow....unbelievable greed at its worst.

As a RAV (reaquired vehicle) dealer, we see vehicles all the time that have sat, and sat, and sat. Iím currently repairing a 2015 Edge....with only 400 miles. After a bad water leak from both A pillars....in 2015....it was parked outside.

Ford bought the vehicle back and was assigned to us back in Sept to determine if it should be repaired....or crushed.
There was sooooo much mold, mildew, RODENT damage, snake skins, mouse shyt everywhere, and dead mouse babies.

I know I got off topic, but the gist of my post is, if this Mustang has been sitting.... OUTSIDE....the entire time (as it appears to have in the pics), then this car will most likely be a very BAD investment....if it wasnít already.

Here are are some pics of the Edge Iíím repairing (restoring). This is after I gutted the interior and we had it professionally cleaned of all mold.
All electrical harnesses get replaced, new carpets, seat foam, leather seat covers, headliner, firewall insulators, HVAC case, etc. will be replaced.

I have no doubts on your talents Craig, seen some of what you have brought back from the dead, but I think that one should have been crushed! I just don't see where they will come out on the cost factor on it.

As to that Mustang, that's just pure greed. They are sitting on it, wanting full price, hoping it goes up in value, all the while it's slowly going down! Reminds me of that Chevy dealer in the midwest who had all those cars and trucks he wouldn't sell, and let them slowly destruct in the elements. In 50 years that car might be a collectable, the way it's going, it won't be here in 50 years....

If they donít lower the price, it will still be there in 50 years.
