  • WTB Mustang cable throttle cable

Hello all, my dad is putting a 302 in his '48 Mercury and we are looking for a throttle pedal, cable and engine mounting bracket to use. I'm guessing something in the late 60's or 70's would be a good starting point. Anybody out there that would have a reasonably priced unit would be appreciated...Shipping it to Maine..Thanks ...Mike

Hi Mike, I found this on E Bay. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Billet-Alum...4383.l4275.c10
I found that one doing a google search, E Bay has a bunch of different designs, or are you looking for a more factory style design?. My 69 Coupe w/302 uses a throttle cable from the pedal to a bracket at the carb.

Thanks Mike, we would like to find a used stock cable type system from either a Mustang or possibly a pickup might work

I have the original accelerator cable from my 69 Coupe you could have for the cost of shipping to you if you want it. I replaced it with a new repro one, but the old one still looks o.k. Here is the one I replaced it with. https://www.cjponyparts.com/accelera...8-1969/p/ACC1/
