  • Engine is out of Mustang

I have decided to freshen up my Cobra Jet that was built in the late 90's. Since the short block is legal for stock and I have a set of original heads I plan on putting it together to run B/SA in the Southern Stock Super Stock Association next year. They have 10 races in Florida and Georgia so far for next year. I'm not putting it together to set the world on fire I just want to have a little fun and as long as I can run under the index I will be happy. I'm taking the engine to Competition Motorsports in Sarasota tomorrow.

That index just got lowered by .3 today Rusty so you better step it up a bit.

I saw that but they are not going to use the new index. Also you can either use IHRA or NHRA HP factors and index.

The engine has been out a long time. Tomorrow I will take the bellhousing and starter to my engine builder so he can install it on his dyno Monday. Tuesday or Wednesday we should be making a few dyno pulls. The engine is for B/SA with cast iron heads and intake.

No 428 cj in the Mustang. The Mustang only has a roll bar and has never been tubbed so I can't run it in SS. We still have to decide what engine is going in the Fairlane.

Congrats on getting the '69s CJ to the dyno for a few pulls. Let us know how well it does!
It'll be good to see/hear your SWEET multi-colored '69 Mustang hot rod making passes again! :hammer:
Since you are still deciding on what mill to stuff into your Fairlane, I suspect you don't plan to have it track ready this year, correct?
