Thanks Guys. The final Pro Stick race for this season is Oct 27 at Virginia Motorsports Park near Petersburg, Va. Pretty far away for me but Iím a good bit closer than a lot of the guys that run PS. VMP is a real nice track and the previous years PS races there seemed to go pretty well. Hopefully Mother Nature cooperates and maybe provides good conditions for some new personal bests!!!

I currently planning to make the 4 1/2 hour trip, weather permitting. I have a couple of southern Virginia friends with fast classic late 60's Mustangs wanting to come play too. It should be a good time.

The payout sucks for the bracket portion of that race, but I'm actually thinking about heading that way myself. Get a little racing in, but more importantly, meet a couple of M&M'ers for the first time. No promises, but I am looking at it pretty seriously right now.

That would be cool. You might even see your dad's old yellow falcon go down the track again.

Hereís a video from a pass last week at Eastside. I finally got the Wifey to help with the water box/burnout which I totally appreciate!! So thereís no burnout video. Lol Iím happy with the car for what it is. It seems to be working n consistent. https://youtu.be/SP_FmRSILbg

Holy crap, I just realized this is in two weeks. Man, where did the month go?
But I'm really leaning towards going. I think the better half (KK) may even ride along.

Cool video. It sure leaves nice.

                    • Thanks Ryan. Iím happy with what my junk is and what itís running for the most part. The 7 day forecast isnít looking too fruitful ATM for VMP. Iíve watched most of the PDRA live feed this week. Looks like around 8:00 pm is the Max on the Fall dew setting in n shutting it down too. Guess weíll have to see what Mother Nature has in store for us.

                      • Update. Well IMHO the weather forecast for the VMP Race was actually looking pretty good for Sat/Sun but VMP pulled the plug today and cancelled for the weekend. So I guess Iíll put the car away for Winter hibernation. Time to concentrate on the next engine combo and mess with the other Mustangs some. Atleast nothing is broken/needs attention on the 79 that Iím aware of so thatís better than this time last year with all the changes we made then. Iím kinda frustrated with Mother Nature this year and tracks throwing in the towel but I guess the early cancellations are good for the guys who travel pretty far away to participate.

                        • I literally just told KK ten minutes ago I hope we have a drought next year. It seems all it has done this year is rain.

                          • Just for the heck of it I checked the Saturday 7pm evening weather at VMF and the rains did return by then. It would probably have been too cold to dry the track properly. It seems that VMF made the correct decision for the racers as Mother nature ultimately got the last laugh.

Although the local tracks are pretty much closed and my car is still healthy I haven't called it a year yet--a no points race at Capitol race is now scheduled for 11 Nov. If that doesn't pan out we'll do some local street cruising before bedding the car for the winter.

                            • We have about 3-4 weeks of racing left in this area, but for the most part what is on the schedule is high dollar races.

                              • FWIW Sunday weather at VMP seemed to be pretty good but thatís water under the bridge. I guess Mother Nature is the winner this season!! Hopefully next year will go better. Damn shame to tie all this $ up in everything and so little track time. Kinda makes my late Grand Father right telling me that I was just wasting my time n $. He was right this season for sure.
