  • Trac- loc or Equa-loc

    Ok, I know that the 8' 66's used equa-loc posi type rears, I also had a 68 that had a 3.00 equa-lok. What about a later 8"
3.55 posi type? On another board, a person said that early 9" posi type rears were equa-loc through 68. Trac-loc started in 69. Is this correct?

Yes, late 68 actually for Traction-Loc.
Equa-loc sucks. Only 3 clutches and most times no matter how much you load them, they slip.
That's why Detroit Lockers were always optional on all FoMoCo HP engine packages.
