  • question for Alex or anyone

On E-bay there is a set of nos Ford Motorsport titanium intake and exhaust valves for 351C M-6505-E321 and M-6507-D321 starting bid $999 with buy it now $1200 My questin is, how do you think these compare in strength to current state of the art stainless steel valves, I'm sure they are lighter, which is a big plus! but do you think the extra cost is worth it strength wise or are they old technolgy?
After breaking a pretty good quality stainless valve, I'm gunshy, and willing to spend some extra if it's worth it.

If you are ready to step up to titanium valves then Victory is the only way to go.

I am not certain who built those FMS valves. Stealth I think

Alex, any idea how much a set of Victorys would go for?

      Thanks!

If you decide on those, I have a set here that are also NOS.
They came with a set of new C302B heads that I purchased a while
back. I'd be willing to sell them at the above price. The intake
valves are M-6507-D321 (valve is marked MD 321 JH), 2.190" diameter,
0.240" tip length, moly impregnated stems, hardened steel tips.
The exhausts are M-6507-E321 (valve is marked ME 321 GF), 1.710"
diameter, tulip head shape, 0.240" tip length, moly impregnated
        stems, hardened steel tips.

what requires the use of Titanium valves? obviously they are probably the strongest valve you can buy but at what point is SS not worth a darn?

When you get over 700# of open spring pressure and 9000 RPM stainless starts getting a little dicy.
