  • Racing in my dreams for awhile.

I just had a cold turn into strep throat turn into lungs stopped working turned into four days of induced coma turned into pneumonia turned into unknown cause of high fever for a week turn into severe asthma.

I entered the hospital on jan 30 and got out Feb 22. Went home and the Asthma kicked in. If all goes well I will be able to return to work next week.

I am posting this her because it has killed my racing plans for the near term. I am going to have to race vicariously through you guys. So best of luck racing this year and post all your victories so I can enjoy them.

Alex, I don't think I ever remembered to tell you how much I enjoyed seeing your shop and especially your race cars. The second car I ever raced at the track was my 66, I will always have special feelings about the first gen Mustangs.

Thanks but I will be restricted to email. One of the side effects of my hospital stay is that I cannot talk, only whisper. I seem to be improving slowly and will send an email in a couple of days when the strength is picked up a little more.

You are apparently under the illusion that one of my cars is finished. What I have is a few old cars and a huge pile of parts that will make them raceable.

Two years ago I underwent radiation treatment for prostate cancer. that left me too weak to work on anything. Just as the strength was getting ok for working this latest episode put me back to weaker than the radiation did. So I have been buying parts for the cars but haven't installed anything. Now it looks like at least a year before I can start turning wrenches again.

                    Thanks for the good wishes.
