  • Calvert split-mono leafs .What height?

    I want to order the slit-mono leafs from Calvert.What height do you think I should go with .I dont want the rear too high.Their options are 1" down ,stock or 1"up.
    Does anyone have them and what one did you use and do have pics of how your car sits.

    I'd do stock height, if you don't like it they'll exchange them.

      I run a 27 tall drag radial(255/60/15) and I want to step up to a 28 tall drag radial(275/60/15).Stock might be a little close.
      I talked to Calvert They didnt mention to me that they would exchange it if didnt sit right.I will ask them that when I order the springs.

        Raising the rear just means the front will have to raise even more to transfer the weight. Keep the back as low as possible for better transfer. Yeah Travis and John are the best with customer service. Another thing is our '66 only has 1/2 inch clearance over the slicks, but for drag racing the rear is always lifting, not squating, so it's not a problem.

          Stock ride height rear split monos with a turn of preload, short 28x11.50 etstreets. stock front coils with rubber coil spacer.. Dosent really rub but had some tire marks after a few miles of street driving...

            Looks like I will get the stock height springs.What size rear wheels and back spacing do you have? Did you have to modify the inner wheelwells?

                what about a set of spirngs that are a few years old??, My springs never sat the same side to side.......
