Stupid is as stupid does. As Clint Eastwood said "A man has got to know his limitations" & that goes for your truck too. I have a 2000 Ranger & would NOT ever think of putting anything 1/2 that size in my truck.

I watched a guy insist the forklift operator at home improvement store load a pallet of premixed joint compound into his Chevy 1500. Poor truck wasn't good to go after that.

I had a 84 swb flareside 4x4 I would load with green oak firewood above the cab. No telling how much weight it had on it, it would go almost to the bump stops and no lower. One time I loaded the bed with concrete blocks level with the sides, and pulled a trailer that had a 62 Ford swb pickup on it, and concrete blocks stacked two high all around it. It pulled all that weight with no problems. That thing was a hoss, wish I had of kept it. I abused the hell out of it, but it held together. Wouldn't dare try that with my 99, it would probably fold up in the middle, and I doubt it would even take off with that kind of weight. Can't beat the old 351W and C6 for pulling power......
