  • Been shooting .22s a lot lately

Just recently put together a 10/22 and I don't think it has one Ruger part in it. Mostly Kidd parts and a Victor Titan stock. I was amazed at how well it shoots. I think it's just as accurate as my Annies and Vudoo rifles. Shot some 10 shot groups at 50 yards last Friday. Had some flyers but overall it shot pretty well I think.

      AFret,
What brand ammo do you use to get that level of performance?

I've been using mostly SK Rifle Match. It works well in all my rifles and the price is pretty reasonable. SK Pistol Match works pretty well too (maybe a bit less consistent) and is about a buck cheaper per box. SK is made by Lapua is kind of their lower end product. I've tried Lapua Center X which is about $4 more than RM and Lapua Midas+ which is about double the price. They seem to have less fliers but since I go through a lot of ammo, I don't think they are worth the extra cost for just fun shooting.

Thanks for the info. I'll have to pick up a box to compare with the 'ol Remington or CCR stuff we usually plink with.
