  • If you have a free hour, and you probably do...

If you have a free hour and are looking for something to pass the time here is a link to an old radio program that is the adaption of a novel about a strange virus that kills off most of the population of earth. This was broadcast in the 1950's, so the idea isn't something new. It's two thirty minutes shows,so you can break up your listening time if you need to. It's eerie how much it compares to today, and where this, God forbid, could actually end up.

Thanks for that link my friend. While some might think it "hokey" it's a very hopeful story! All except for the inevitable Charlie! It begs the question of how to most properly deal with those who are mis-wired in such a manner? It seems that our species has not yet figured this one out! Where do we need to draw the line of balance between humane compassion for life and the need to protect and preserve it?
      Thanks Again,
      Gene

If you listen right at the start, it pretty much describes the current times, talking about how a virus could travel around the world in days since we are so interconnected now. While this one hasn’t gotten to the same results as the one in the story, and hope it doesn’t, it shows we should be thinking about that possibility. It still gives me chills every time I listen to it. It’s one of my favorite John Dehner performances.
